I bought this winch when it was £50+vat+p&P and have to say its amazing for the price! I couldn't believe the quality of the unit when it arrived and the pulling power is awesome, though I have to admit I don't use it anywhere near its capacity (its on a trail bike). Hunting around it was the only one I could find that fitted my size requirements yet still fitted my budget, also by luck it was the only one in the bracket that came with a bar mounted control too. I was expecting the usual Chinese quality metal and plastic parts but have to say this is way better than anticipated, even the plastic coating on the steel work looks smooth and substantial.

I purchased this winch with some trepidation but with a view to adapting it to use as a marine version to lift and lower a mudweight on the front of my boat. After making a platform to increase the height by 3 " to bring it level to my bow roller I installed the electrics ect and need not have worried as the winch works perfectly well and at about a third of the price of a marine winch. I can't believe I was using a hand winch when I could just of pressed a button and had this little electric winch do all the hard work. Very easy on the wallet too!! (Posted on 22/07/2010)
